After breakfast at the hotel, you will get a taste of the culture, traditions and local lifestyles of Bali with this engaging tour inspired by the famous book and film (Eat, Pray and Love). With the guide you will move to small village on the outskirts of the city for a unique Balinese cultural experience. Following the theme of the book, we start with (pray). Meeting with a shaman for a special Balinese blessing ceremony. Then you will meet an astrologer who uses ancient methods handed down from generation to generation to predict what the future holds.
Then it’s time to (eat), you will join local chefs for a cooking class at Kayun House, a natural organic restaurant. You will discover the fresh products, herbs and spices used in authentic Balinese cuisine as you watch the day’s lunch being prepared. While waiting for the finishing touches, you will take a walk around the village to admire the local architecture and get a better sense of what life is like in rural Bali. Then return to Kayun for lunch, enjoying a feast of traditional Balinese dishes.
The last activity on this theme tour is (love). Give yourself a gesture of love for yourself, a one-hour Balinese massage, letting experienced therapists keep you from fatigue or muscle pain. With a soul full of emotions, return to the hotel for overnight.
Note: out of respect for the local Hindu religion, it is suggested to wear Balinese clothing (sarong and band around the waist). Please remember to have long hair gathered, to avoid sleeveless vests and not to wear trousers under the sarong.
